my 7 year old beauty!

My Little Lexy turned 7! Honestly I can't believe it! I think this year of my babies turning 7, 5 and 3 is going to be a hard one! How did they get that old so fast!! For L's birthday we were up in Sacramento at my sister's house celebrating my niece's first birthday so we made a weekend of it! Saturday night we went out to a fun dinner and arcade and the kids had a blast playing all the games! I was able to put my "claw" master skills (thanks to spending most weekends in a bowling alley growing up) to the test and won Lexy 2 stuffed animals at one time... I don't think she has ever been more impressed with her mom! After the arcade we went back to the hotel and checked in. We decided this year we would take Lexy on a shopping spree for her present and it was a huge hit! We walked across the street from our hotel to Old Navy and let her shop till she dropped! After we went back and splashed around in the hot tub! The next morning (her actual b day) we headed back to my sister's house and celebrated with presents, an awesome donut cake, hot cider and games! Once we got home that evening Gramvi and Gpa stopped by with more presents and we had cupcakes and more fun! Spoiled girle :)

I have to say that we are pretty lucky to be parents to this awesome girl! She is a delight! Love you my sweet Lexy Lou!

A New Look

This weekend we celebrated my nieces 1st birthday along with my sweet Lexy's 7th birthday (more on that to come). I wanted to do something special for adorable little Kora so I decided to revamp our old pink rocking chair for her! Kora was having a giraffe themed party but her nursery is black and purple so I did a little improvising!

A New Puppy!

It was so exciting to bring our new little puppy home today and surprise our kiddos! He is 12 weeks old and his name is Chewy! The kids are all loving him and we have been told countless times how happy they are and that we are the best parents ever! I told the kids I was going to go pick up an early Christmas present for them and when I came home they were shocked and thrilled with their very own puppy! Lexy later told me that she couldn't believe it because she thought the present was gonna be "just a regular toy or maybe even a washing machine" she is too funny! So far the dog is very well behaved and just the cutest little guy! Welcome to the family Chewy!

Thinnest Winner!

For the last 10 weeks David has been participating in a weight loss competition at work. The buy in was $25 with first place taking home the grand prize of $500! Since I have known David (19 years) he has never really exercised and has never been on a diet. He says it was his first and last :) He ate a lot of veggies and ran on the treadmill most nights while we ate delicious fattening meals that he would be too tempted to be around. One night when my family was in town we had In and Out burger for dinner and David literally ran out of the house and around the block until we were done eating. He had such great self control and he is feeling healthy and a lot more energetic... plus he won FIRST PLACE so he is feeling richer too!!!! He lost a total of 27 lbs which was 11%. We celebrated by going out to Classic Burger for that much desired cheeseburger and milkshake- which left him sick the rest of the night!  Congrats Babe you look FANTASTIC!

Back to School!

And they are off.... 

The girls were so excited to get back to school! They have both adjusted effortlessly to new teachers and friends and come home happy and full of exciting stories! Poor little Lukey on the other hand misses his sisters terribly! He cries every day after dropping them off "Lena far away"... Breaks my heart! We have been discovering lots of new parks together as I try to distract him from the loss of his best buddies. He does enjoy having all of the dress up dresses and crowns to himself for a couple hours though ;)
